What is in place

• Text and interface colours are checked against their backgrounds for at least 4.5:1 contrast. Several failures were found and fixed, including quiz answer buttons that were effectively unreadable.
• Every form field has a visible, associated label.
• A skip-to-content link is the first thing keyboard users reach, so the navigation can be bypassed.
• The political compass is announced as an image with a written description of the position, and the scores are repeated in text for screen readers.
• Registration bars report their value to assistive technology rather than being decoration, and errors are announced when they appear.
• The site works at any zoom level and on small screens.
• Animation respects your system setting. If you have asked for reduced motion, counters and progress bars stop animating.
• Colour is never the only way information is conveyed: results carry numbers, not just bars.

What is not done

• No formal audit by an accessibility specialist has been carried out.
• Some colours used to distinguish categories, such as jurisdictions on the registration tracker, sit below the 3:1 mark against their background.
